Whilst it would take a while to describe all 365 beaches in Antigua, we have selected a few examples of some of the stunning beaches to visit on your holiday.
Valley Church Beach
Located on the West coast of Antigua in the South of Jolly Harbour, Valley Church Beach has smooth, silky velvety sand and turquoise waters. There are lots of shells on the beach and also a delightful beach bar to sample cocktail drinks with names such as ‘Antigua Smile’ and ‘Painkiller’.
Half Moon Bay
This beach is set in Saint Philip Parish and has beautiful pink sand. Enjoy activities such as surfing here and horse riding. The atmosphere makes it ideal for sun lounging and swimming in the refreshing waters. It is a wonderfully secluded and quiet beach, perfect for romantic beach strolls.
Darkwood Beach
Set in the southwest part of Antigua, Darkwood Beach consists of a long stretch of sandy beach with its own beach bar at one end. The beach is just a five minute drive south from Jolly Harbour. Explore the crystal clear waters here by snorkelling.
Pigeon Beach
Come to English Harbour to see this charming beach. The best day to go is on Sunday when there is live entertainment. There is ample shade on Pigeon Beach with towering palm trees and also great views overlooking the harbour.
Galley Beach
Located at St John’s Galley Beach is a peaceful and tranquil beach. It has a stunning bay and is just across from Nelson’s Dockyard. The waves here are mild and you may encounter some sea turtles nesting along the beach.
Hawksbill Bay
You will be getting four beaches in one location at Hawksbill Bay, two of which are exclusively for guests of Hawksbill Beach Resort. All the beaches feature white powder soft sand and alluring turquoise blue seas, great for swimming in.
