Nelson's Dockyard

See a great piece of history whilst here on holiday in Antigua. Nelson’s Dockland is a cultural heritage site steeped with great history. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson, the area has old buildings with character to them. Wander along the museum here and learn about the past of this harbour.

Set in English Harbour, the site is regularly used for sailing and yachting events. Here you will find some of the most extravagant yachts and boats you will ever encounter! English Harbour is the main village in the South of Antigua. There are a plethora of stores in the area where you can buy souvenirs, clothes and much more. After all that shopping, you can go eat at the great selection of restaurants in the area. The place offers scenic views and is a great day out to learn about a well preserved area and unique historic hotspot.

Enjoy the picturesque view from Shirley Heights at Nelson’s Dockyard and experience stunning views of during sunset of English Harbour. On a Sunday be sure to head to Shirley Heights for good entertainment in the form of live music from Reggae and calypso bands, a lively atmosphere, lots of dancing and a late night!
